Coftec, a provider of modular water and wastewater treatment solutions and a subsidiary of Coffey, announces the appointment of Joe Gleeson as its new General Manager. With over 25 years of leadership experience across industries including Industrial, Automotive, Aerospace and Medical Devices, Gleeson is well-positioned to lead Coftec’s growth and operational improvements in the water treatment sector.
Gleeson brings a strong track record in manufacturing, engineering, operations and leadership. At Phenox Ltd, he served as Director of Operations at its Galway facility, where he enhanced production efficiency and operational performance. In his role as Chief Operating Officer at Measurement Specialties / TE Connectivity, Gleeson managed 23 global manufacturing sites, leading initiatives in lean manufacturing, cost reduction, and process improvement.
Coftec specialises in designing and manufacturing modular water and wastewater treatment plants at its facility in Galway. By leveraging off-site construction methods, Coftec reduces waste and energy usage, aligning its operations with sustainability goals and creating value for its municipal and industrial clients. As part of Coffey Group, Coftec benefits from nearly 50 years of expertise in civil engineering, water infrastructure, and sustainable construction.
As General Manager, Gleeson will oversee Coftec’s strategic direction, operational processes, and customer engagement. His focus will include driving efficiencies, expanding the company’s capabilities, and supporting clients with tailored water treatment solutions that address their specific needs.
