Coffey Raises €700 for Croí Heart & Stroke Charity

Coffey is delighted to announce a successful fundraising initiative that culminated yesterday in a €700 donation to Croí Heart & Stroke Charity, one of our four chosen charity partners for 2024. The funds were raised through a company-wide coffee morning and matched by Coffey, demonstrating our commitment to supporting vital healthcare initiatives in our community.

Supporting Heart Health in Construction

The fundraising event, which took place on 15th October, was aligned with the Construction Industry Federation (CIF) 2024 Construction Safety Campaign. This year’s campaign places a special focus on critical risks and heart health within the construction industry, making our partnership with Croí particularly relevant and timely.

Croí Heart & Stroke Charity has established itself as a cornerstone in cardiovascular health advocacy and support across Ireland and in particular, the west of Ireland. Their mission encompasses not only the prevention of heart disease and stroke but also provides crucial support services for those affected by these conditions. Through their dedicated work, they have helped countless individuals and families navigate the challenges of cardiovascular health issues.

Community Spirit in Action

The coffee morning brought together Coffey employees from various departments, creating an atmosphere of community and shared purpose. The event showcased the generous spirit of our team, with many contributing homemade baked goods and taking time to support this worthy cause.

Special recognition goes to Lisa and Amy Godfrey, whose exceptional contributions to the refreshments helped make the morning a memorable success. The event was organised by Conor Godfrey and Sammy Spencer, who ensured everything ran smoothly from start to finish.

A Matched Commitment

In recognition of our employees’ enthusiastic participation and generous contributions, Coffey matched the funds raised during the coffee morning, effectively doubling the impact of our collective efforts. This matching initiative reflects our company’s dedication to amplifying the positive impact we can have in our community.

The cheque was presented to Mike Cubbard of Croí by Conor Godfrey and Sammy Spencer, marking a proud moment for everyone involved in the fundraising effort.

Looking Forward

This initiative is just one example of Coffey’s ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility and community engagement. As we continue through 2024, we look forward to supporting our other chosen charity partners with similar enthusiasm and dedication.

Our participation in the CIF 2024 Construction Safety Campaign, particularly its focus on heart health, underscores the importance of health awareness in the construction industry. By supporting organisations like Croí, we’re not just contributing to a charity – we’re investing in the wellbeing of our industry and our community.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated in and contributed to this successful fundraising initiative. Your generosity and support have made a real difference in supporting Croí’s vital work in heart disease and stroke prevention and care.
